Mission & Goals
MSC Cruises is a cruise company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. MSC Cruises is part of the Cruises Division of MSC Group, the privately held Swiss-based shipping and logistics conglomerate. MSC Cruises’ fleet consists of 24 ships. The Company is committed to environmental stewardship and works to minimise and continuously reduce the environmental impact of its fleet both while at sea and ashore, as well as invest in the accelerated development of next-generation marine and environmental technologies.
EU Legislative Interests
Policies and legislative interests include: - Decarbonization, including legislation under the European Green Deal, not least the EU ETS and FuelEU maritime and their implementation as well as acces to EU funding to increase maritime innovation as well as increased production of alternative fuels to maritime transport. - EU Taxonomy - Maritime Industrial policy - Maritime and Passenger Ship Safety, including the revision of Port State Control directive and the Flag State Regulation. - European tourism policy - Maritime skills as well as working and living conditions for seafarers (EU implementation of the STCW convention and the Maritime Labour Convention)
