Mission & Goals
In 2013, Dr. Mark Post and food scientist Peter Verstrate introduced the world to the first cultivated hamburger, grown from the cells of a cow. In 2016, they founded Mosa Meat to build on that research and work toward commercializing cultivated beef as a kinder, cleaner option for consumers. Today, the company has 100 employees, and has applied for regulatory approval in the EU through the novel foods procedure.
