Mission & Goals
MONUNI is a diversified company primarily focused on agriculture, livestock, and the pet industry. It is one of the leading producers of animal feed in Kosovo and the largest provider of veterinary medicinal products, medical devices, veterinary healthcare services, livestock and agricultural services, and pet products. Over the past three years, the company has expanded its portfolio to include digital marketing, an IT department, and an aromatization sector. The organization’s key goals are to: Increase production volume and expand the range of supplied products. -Ensure that all products manufactured by MONUNI meet the safety and quality standards required by relevant EU legislation, thereby enabling access to -EU markets. -Grow its market share across both products and services. -Further digitalize company operations and service offerings. -The most important objective at this stage is to build the necessary infrastructure and install new technologies to support the achievement
EU Legislative Interests
Agriculture, feed, food and veterinary sector are the most regulated sectors by the EU commission. The targeted policies and legislation by our company are the following: EC Regulation 767/2009 - marketing of feed materials and compound feed; Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 -establishing general principles of food safety; Regulation No 852/2004 -hygiene of foodstuffs; Regulation No 183/2005- laying down requirements for feed hygiene. Considering that we acquire raw material required for production from a large number of farmers, our goal to support those farmers in applying good agriculture practice with the objective of ensuring quality and safety of our products from the field to the final consumer.
Communication Activities
Regular consultancy sessions, both individual and collective are held with the suppliers of raw material-farmers nationaly. Generally those sessions are focused in providing guidelines in terms of applying best practices in terms of use of pesticides, fertilizers and other crop production materials.
