Mission & Goals
Moldova Fruct is the largest association of fruit producers and exporters in the Republic of Moldova, representing more than 290 members. Our mission is to strengthen the fruit sector by supporting members in improving quality, competitiveness, and sustainability. We promote modern technologies in orchards and post-harvest, facilitate access to national and international markets, and advocate for favorable policies for horticulture. The association actively develops partnerships with European and global buyers, organizes trade missions, trainings, and marketing campaigns to expand exports and enhance the image of Moldovan fruits abroad.
EU Legislative Interests
Moldova Fruct follows EU policies relevant to agri-food trade, plant health, food safety, and phytosanitary standards, especially under the EU–Moldova Association Agreement and DCFTA. The association also monitors EU agricultural and trade measures, CAP reforms, sustainability and climate policies, and neighborhood initiatives that impact Moldovan fruit exports.
Communication Activities
Organisation of workshops and training for Moldovan fruit producers on EU market requirements; participation in EU-funded projects; trade missions and study visits to EU member states; publication of informational materials; and communication campaigns promoting Moldovan fruits on the European market.

Additional Information
Moldova Fruct has not received EU grants in the most recent closed financial year (2024). In 2025, the Association received a grant of €5,000 from the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova to support the organisation of Fruit Day. The declared costs are relatively low because most persons involved (President and advisers) contribute on a voluntary basis. Only two staff members are employed. In addition, many expenses for advocacy, events and travel are covered through donor-funded projects (e.g. OPTIM/SDC), which reduces the direct costs borne by the Association.
Commissioner Meetings
No recorded meetings with EU commissioners.
