Mission & Goals
Agora Election Observation is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that fosters a democratic, participatory, diverse, equal, and transnational Europe committed to upholding human rights. Founded as the independent successor of AEGEE Election Observation, Agora continues a legacy of engaging youth in the democratic process, training them to become skilled international election observers, and providing a unique youth perspective on electoral processes. The organisation’s core mission is to address the underrepresentation of young people in elections and political participation by empowering them to take active roles in democratic processes. Through hands-on training and election observation missions, Agora seeks to build the capacity of young observers, equipping them with both the technical skills and the understanding of political systems necessary to contribute meaningfully to the integrity of elections.
