Mission & Goals
MeFu - Mestieri del Fumetto è un’associazione senza scopo di lucro che opera per il riconoscimento, la valorizzazione e la tutela dell’attività professionale di autori, soggettisti, sceneggiatori, disegnatori, inchiostratori, coloristi e letteristi e li rappresenta e assiste nei rapporti con le controparti, nelle pubbliche relazioni nazionali e internazionali, nei rapporti con i pubblici poteri e nelle relazioni con altri organismi di settore.
EU Legislative Interests
We plan to carry out an activity to raise awareness among policymakers on the issue of Artificial Intelligence, particularly the use of so-called AI TTI without authors' consent. Our normative reference text is the AI ACT (COM(2021) 206 final), which we also intend to ask to harmonize with the contents of the Copyright Directive (n, 2019/790) and the DSA (COM(2020) 825 final).
Communication Activities
In order to achieve our goal, we plan to request meetings with relevant public decision makers on the issue, pursue communication campaigns, and publish position papers.
