Additional Information

Kindly note that our main office is in Malta and the budget is based on the most recent closed financial year, which is 2024, since the financial year 2025 is currently being audited. The 2024 financial year reflected normal operational activity, with no particular issues to report. The Mediterranean Tourism Foundation (MTF) operates with a business model whereby most of its activities are subcontracted on a project-by-project basis to third-party organizations. This ensures optimal expertise and allows the Foundation to keep its cost structure flexible by turning potential fixed costs into variable costs. In line with its mission, MTF continues to work closely with the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association in organizing the Mediterranean Tourism Forum, which remains one of its flagship activities, and with the Malta Business Bureau (MBB) on initiatives related to EU and sustainability matters. Other projects are also managed in collaboration with partner organizations across the region. This operating model has proven efficient and sustainable for a non-profit, non-governmental organization such as MTF, enabling it to maximize impact while supporting sustainable tourism growth across the Mediterranean region.
