Mission & Goals

Il MEDAC è un'associazione senza scopo di lucro che persegue un obiettivo di interesse europeo generale, con sede legale a Roma, Italia. Il MEDAC è composto da organizzazioni europee e nazionali rappresentanti il settore della pesca (sia flotta industriale, sia piccola pesca artigianale, che il settore della trasformazione ed i sindacati) ed altri gruppi di interesse (tra cui organizzazioni ambientaliste, associazioni di consumatori e associazioni di pesca sportiva/ricreativa) nell’ambito della PCP operanti nell’area del Mediterraneo, formato dalle acque marittime del Mediterraneo situate a est del meridiano 5°36’ di longitudine ovest.

EU Legislative Interests

Il ruolo del MEDAC è quello di predisporre non solo pareri sulla gestione della pesca e sugli aspetti socioeconomici relativi alla conservazione della pesca nel Mediterraneo, indirizzati agli Stati Membri e alle istituzioni europee, per contribuire alla realizzazione degli obiettivi della PCP, ma anche fornire soluzioni tecniche e suggerimenti, tra cui raccomandazioni congiunte (ex. Art. 18 Reg.1380/2013) su richiesta degli Stati membri.

We are an Advisory Council fro Fisheries, one of the 11 Advisory Council created under the EU's Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) and are now governed by the CFP Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013. We are not member of any other association, we are just part of the ETP, Energyy Transition Partenship.

L'esercizio 2024 deve ancora essere approvato dall'Assemblea Generale e l'esercizio 2025 (in corso) deve ancora ricevere il saldo del contributo della DG MARE (quindi il contributo indicato è l'80% del totale del contributo indicato nel Grant Agreement)
