Mission & Goals

MATR Foods is a Danish food tech company using solid-state fermentation (SSF) to create a new generation of plant-based meat — less processed, genuinely delicious, and better for the planet. Unlike conventional products built on isolated proteins and extrusion, our SSF process transforms whole plant ingredients into naturally structured, fibrous meat alternatives with a clean label and flavour that rivals animal meat. Backed by Series A funding, we are building a first-of-its-kind SSF production facility in Denmark, while finalising our product portfolio and securing first customers in the Nordic and DACH markets. Our goal is simple: make plant-based meat people choose because they love it. Taste and texture have been the real barrier to adoption. MATR is built to close that gap.
