Mission & Goals
Marvel Fusion, founded in 2019 in Munich, aims to commercialize laser fusion energy within the next decade, providing an unlimited, emission‑free, safe, and affordable source of power. Fusion is the process that powers the sun: the merging of light atomic nuclei to release vast amounts of energy. Unlike conventional nuclear power, fusion produces no long‑lived radioactive waste, carries no meltdown risk, and offers the potential for reliable, baseload energy at scale. The company combines cutting‑edge ultrashort‑pulse laser technology with nanostructured fuel targets in a modular power plant design that represents an ideal complement to the future energy mix. Marvel Fusion has raised more than €385m in funding, supported by deep‑tech investors (HV Capital, Earlybird), strategic partners (Siemens Energy, Deutsche Telekom), family offices and government institutions - making it the best‑funded laser‑fusion company in the world.
