Mission & Goals
Maritime CleanTech is a leading industrial hub driving the green transition in maritime through collaboration, innovation, and policy influence. Its core mission is to validate and scale clean technologies, enable market adoption, and shape policies that accelerate decarbonisation. With partners across the full maritime value chain, the organisation supports the development and deployment of zero-emission solutions such as hydrogen, ammonia, fuel cells, and autonomous systems. It facilitates access to world-class test infrastructure, reduces risk in commercialising green technologies, and works closely with governments and international bodies to align regulation with climate goals. Maritime CleanTech is a key platform for positioning Norwegian maritime innovation in global markets, helping ensure significant emissions cuts by 2030 and a zero-emission industry by 2050.
