Mission & Goals
M.A.R.E. Technology cluster was established in 2012 as limited liability consortium, after 3 years as association, at the top of the Adriatic Sea. It includes 55 shareholders, 32 members and more than 200 stakeholders belonging to the maritime sectors of ship- and boatbuilding, waterborne logistics and transport, leisure boating, and offshore systems. The cluster is an active actor of the regional smart specialization process since 2015; specifically in 2020 it coordinated the regional work group on Waterborne mobility and its land connections under a specific request of the Regional Government of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia. Currently, the Cluster is expanding under the behest of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, towards a multi-sector innovation model, extending its scope to the Aerospace/Aeronautics and Renewable energies, with a focus on green hydrogen sectors.
