Mission & Goals
Landewyck Tobacco is a family-owned business founded in 1847. The purpose of the company is to manufacture and trade in goods of all kinds, particularly tobacco and related products. Landewyck is headquartered in Luxembourg and operates production sites in Luxembourg (Fridhaff), Germany (Trier) and Hungary (Debrecen). Landewyck also maintains operational offices in several other European countries including in Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal.

Implementation and review of Directive 2014/40/EU (TPD2) on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States concerning the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco and related products; Implementation and review of Directive 2011/64/EC, on the structure and rates of excise duty applied to manufactured tobacco; Implementation and subsequent review of Directive (EU) 2020/262 laying down the general arrangements for excise duty; Implementation and subsequent review of Directive (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment; Implementation of the Council Recommendation on smoke-and aerosol-free environments; Implementation and subsequent review of Directive (EU) 2024/1760 on corporate sustainability due diligence; Implementation and subsequent review of Directive (EU) 2022/2464 on corporate sustainability reporting; and Implementation of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety.
