Mission & Goals
The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) was established to promote the Malaysian timber trade and develop the market for Malaysian timber products globally. It was created in January 1992 on the initiative of the timber industry and is governed by a Board of Trustees, whose members are appointed by the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities.

Organisation Members
MTC was formed on the initiative of the timber industry and is governed by a Board of Trustees, whose members are appointed by the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities of Malaysia. Members of the Board consist of a representative from the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities, relevant government agencies and from the following timber-based associations as well as independent trustees.
