Mission & Goals

Magbago is a sustainable fashion brand whose mission is to promote change in the fashion industry by creating clothing that unites health, comfort, and environmental responsibility. We design and produce garments from innovative and natural materials such as Orange Fiber, Banana Fabric, Lotus Fabric, Hemp, and other eco-friendly alternatives to synthetics. Our goal is to reduce waste, support circular economy practices, and inspire conscious consumer choices. In addition to developing innovative collections, we work on projects that empower rural communities, preserve natural resources, and encourage the transition toward a more sustainable and transparent fashion system in Europe and beyond. We also engage in educational activities, raising awareness about sustainability, responsible fashion, and ecological innovation among consumers, businesses, and local communities.

EU Legislative Interests

Magbago primarily follows and contributes to EU initiatives and legislative proposals that support sustainable fashion, circular economy, and climate action. This includes the European Green Deal, the Green Deal for the Western Balkans, the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles (2030), the Circular Economy Action Plan, and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). We also align with policies on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Waste Framework Directive (including textile waste management), and initiatives supporting innovation, transparency, and the implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) to ensure a more traceable and sustainable supply chain within the textile and apparel sector.

Communication Activities

Magbago communicates its commitment to EU sustainability and circular economy policies through diverse activities. These include awareness campaigns on sustainable materials and responsible fashion on social media and our website, participation in regional and European competitions (such as Balkan Green Ideas and BIZUP by Foundation 787), and presentations at economic forums and industry events. Magbago has also represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in international programs such as WE Circular and Tex-Dan, further strengthening cross-border cooperation in sustainable innovation. In addition, we develop publications and educational content to raise awareness of innovative textiles, circular economy practices, and Digital Product Passports, while engaging with local communities and partners to promote alignment with the European Green Deal, the Green Deal for the Western Balkans, and the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles.
