Mission & Goals
Lustica Development is a joint venture company focused on the sustainable planning, development, and operation of Luštica Bay – a large-scale, long-term coastal development project in Montenegro. The project integrates residential, commercial, tourism, and leisure facilities in harmony with the natural environment. Our mission is to create a fully integrated, environmentally conscious destination that supports the local economy and community while attracting international investment. The company actively contributes to regional development and seeks alignment with EU sustainability goals and funding frameworks, particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure, and environmental protection.
EU Legislative Interests
Our organisation’s activities are currently linked to the EU’s Western Balkans Investment Framework and the related application process for private sector investment support - Application of a project under the Western Balkans Investment Framework (https://enlargement.ec.europa.eu/enlargement-policy/enhanced-eu-engagement-western-balkans/publication-call-expressions-interest-eueeawesternhttps://transparency-register.europa.eu/guidance/guidelines_en#heading9-balkans-based-businesses-invest-western-balkans_en#facebook). Specifically, we indirectly aim to influence the implementation and development of the following EU policy frameworks: Communication from the European Commission: “An Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans” (COM(2020) 641 final); Commission staff working document: “Guidelines for the Implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans” (SWD(2020) 223 final); Related policy guidance within the EU External Investment Plan, in the context of public-private investment in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy in the Western Balkans. No other influencing activities directed at the EU institutions are currently ongoing by Lustica Development.
Communication Activities
No communication activities (e.g. events, publications or campaigns) have been conducted so far in relation to the above-mentioned EU policies. However, such activities may be considered in the future in the context of project promotion and stakeholder engagement at the EU level, in case of project approval.
