Mission & Goals
Logistics UK (formerly FTA) is one of the UK’s leading business groups, representing logistics businesses which are vital to keeping the UK trading, and more than seven million people directly employed in the making, selling and moving of goods. Logistics UK supports, shapes and stands up for safe and efficient logistics, and is the only business group which represents the whole industry, with members from the road, rail, sea and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers whose businesses depend on the efficient movement of goods. Our transport interests are multimodal and in addition to consigning over 90 per cent of freight carried on rail and over 70 per cent of sea and air freight our members operate in excess of 200 000 goods vehicles, approximately half the UK fleet. Logistics UK has over 18,000 members from all regions and nations of the UK.
EU Legislative Interests
- Implementation of Mobility Package 1 (Access to the market and to the profession, Drivers' Hours & Posting of drivers) - Implementation of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement, in particular transport chapter, customs and trade facilitation provisions and sanitary and phytosanitary border processes. - Interaction between EU Fit for 55 package and UK Climate policy - Interaction between the maritime competition policies of the EU, the UK and other jurisdictions in the world.

Logistics UK has over 18,000 members from all parts of the logistics sector, from operators to logistics buyers. Logistics UK's members operate more than 200,000 lorries - almost half the UK fleet. In addition, our members deliver over 90 per cent of freight moved by rail; and 70 per cent of UK visible exports by sea and air. Additional Information
We do not operate an office in the EU. Since the UK's departure from the EU, meetings with the European authorities rarely take place so there is almost zero staff travel related to activities covered by the register. This is why the figure is considered to be low.
