Mission & Goals
Liquid Icons is a high-end research and production company and a significant charitable contributor in the fine wine, rare spirit & hospitality sectors. Liquid Icons runs the Golden Vines (known as the 'Oscars of Fine Wine'), an annual 3-day event hosted in a different city each year. 2021 - London; 2022 - Florence; 2023 - Paris; 2024 - Madrid. This year's event will be hosted between 7-9 November 2025 in Miami, USA. The event raises money for the Gerard Basset Foundation - a UK registered charity that provides education & internship grants and scholarships in the wine, spirit & hospitality industries. Since 2021, we have raised close to $5 million for the Foundation. Liquid Icons also writes fine wine & rare spirit articles and magazines in partnership with The Robb Report, including the Best of the Best and the Ultimate Gift Guide Magazine publications. Liquid Icons also runs Wine & Spirit Masterclasses around the world - including in the USA, Monaco & Macau.
EU Legislative Interests
Food & Agriculture – Wine: Regulation of the European Parliament and of The Council amending Regulations (EU) No 1308/2013, (EU) 2021/2115 and (EU) No 251/2014 as regards certain market rules and sectoral support measures in the wine sector and for aromatised wine products. Discussions regarding the impact of such rules on the Fine Wine Sector in Europe and any potential new legislative proposals that will help the Fine Wine Sector in the future.
Communication Activities
Initially, there are no planned communication activities related to the scheduled meeting on 8 July, other than communications with fine wine industry players who will be participating in the Q&A session. These include Moet & Hennessy, LVMH Vins d'Exception, Vega Sicilia, SOGRAPE, Istvan Szepsy, Artemis Domaines and a number of other fine wine estates located throughout Europe.
