Mission & Goals
ETG.UA’s strategic objective is to develop 1 GW of renewable energy generation capacity by 2030, within its own portfolio and for clients, fully aligned with the objectives of the EU Green Deal, the Ukraine Plan, and global sustainable development standards. The company focuses on accelerating the green transition in Ukraine by deploying wind, solar, and hybrid storage solutions, thus enhancing energy security, resilience, and integration into the European energy market. The implementation of 1 GW of renewable capacity is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 1.3–1.5 million tonnes annually compared to equivalent fossil-fuel-based generation. This substantial reduction directly contributes to Ukraine’s decarbonisation targets and supports the EU’s climate neutrality objectives for 2050. In addition, the projects will create the potential for electricity exports to the EU via cross-border interconnections, strengthening Ukraine’s role as a clean energy partner for Europe.
EU Legislative Interests

European Green Deal – EU’s strategy to achieve climate neutrality by 2050; ETG.UA contributes through the deployment of renewable energy sources, CO₂ emission reductions, and environmental protection. EU Climate Law – Legally enshrines the EU’s climate targets; ETG.UA supports these goals by developing 1 GW of new renewable capacity by 2030. REPowerEU Plan – EU plan to accelerate the transition to clean energy and reduce dependency on fossil fuels; ETG.UA’s projects directly contribute by expanding renewable generation and implementing energy efficiency measures. Fit for 55 package – Legislative package to cut emissions by 55% by 2030; ETG.UA supports these objectives by scaling up clean generation and enabling integration with the EU power system. TEN-E Regulation – EU framework for developing trans-European energy networks; ETG.UA plans grid connections for new assets in line with European standards and ENTSO-E compatibility. Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) – Sets binding targets for increasing the share of renewables; ETG.UA delivers projects that raise the share of clean energy in Ukraine’s mix and prepare for electricity exports to the EU. Energy Efficiency Directive – Establishes energy efficiency standards; ETG.UA applies technologies and solutions that reduce energy losses and improve generation efficiency. EU-Ukraine Energy Community integration measures – Support deeper integration of Ukraine’s electricity and gas markets with the EU; ETG.UA facilitates harmonisation of technical and regulatory standards for EU market access. EU Sustainable Finance and Taxonomy Regulation – Defines criteria for green investments; ETG.UA’s projects meet these criteria, enabling access to sustainable finance and ensuring investor transparency.
