Mission & Goals
Limenet è una startup climate-tech che ha brevettato una soluzione innovativa per contrastare cambiamento climatico e decarbonizzare i settori hard-to-abate, producendo calce a emissioni zero, utilizzabile anche per rimuovere la CO₂ atmosferica in eccesso. L’azienda ha sviluppato un impianto integrato con un calcinatore alimentato al 100% da energia elettrica rinnovabile e un sistema di stoccaggio della CO₂ in soluzione acquosa ricca di bicarbonati di calcio, che grazie alle proprietà alcaline contribuisce a ridurre l’acidificazione degli oceani. Limenet ha realizzato il primo impianto certificato ISO 14064-2, con capacità di 800t/anno di CO2 stoccata. In futuro, Limenet opererà come azienda EPC, progettando impianti da vendere a terze parti, e svilupperà calcinatori per la riduzione delle emissioni fino al 30%, mentre non appena stabilito un framework regolatorio per il carbon removal Limenet si espanderà a soluzioni complete di decarbonizzazione e stoccaggio della CO₂.
