LGBTI Liberals of Europe

Mission & Goals

LGBTI Liberals of Europe is a political LGBTI+ organisation. Members are liberal LGBTI+ organisations with legal status, liberal LGBTI+ networks inside parties or the parties themselves (currently from Austria, two from France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, two from the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine). Individual membership is possible from countries not represented. The organisation is focusing on policy-making within the European liberal family and with the EU institutions. It aims towards ensuring that LGBTI+ individuals are treated equally in all aspects of life, advocating e.g. for non-discrimination, protection from violence, freedom of expression, and family law. It also addresses Europe’s role in global LGBTI+ rights. The policy priorities align with the liberal values of individual freedoms and human rights.
