EU Legislative Interests

The LG Global Strategy Center monitors a range of EU legislative proposals and policies that impact global supply chains, industrial competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth. Key areas of focus include: - Economic Security & Industry: Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), and the EU Economic Security Strategy. - Sustainability & Environment: EU Battery Regulation, Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). - Trade & Digital: EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), EU AI Act, and EU Chips Act. We are particularly interested in policy developments related to the resilience of global value chains and the transition to a circular economy.

The LG Global Strategy Center (LGGSC) engages in various communication activities to understand and analyze the implications of EU policies on the global business landscape. Organisation Members

LG Global Strategy Center (LG GSC) was newly established in August 2023 as an entity under the LG Management Development Institute, which is wholly owned (100% share) by LG Corp, the holding company of the LG Group. The LG Management Development Institute serves as a comprehensive group-wide organization comprising LG Business Research, LG Academy (talent development), LG AI Research, and LG GSC. Due to our recent formation and lean organizational structure, we do not currently maintain a separate official corporate website.
