IWH provides independent research on economic topics that really matter and aims to enrich society with facts and evidence-based insights that facilitate better economic decisions.
EU Legislative Interests
Research and innovation related policies, EU framework programs for research and innovation
Communication Activities
Participation of one IWH researcher (on invitation) in the European Parliament public hearing on ‘A coherent tax framework for the EU’s financial sector’ on 6/02/25. Important Notice: IWH researchers answer economic questions on the basis of evidence-based findings without intentionally influencing decision-making processes reserved for the legislative or executive branches, i.e. without seeking to promote specific interests. Moreover, IWH researchers, in particular professors, working at the IWH do not follow an institute-wide policy on how to analyze and to interpret facts and derived findings respectively. They rather act in their personal capacity on the basis of their individual expertise.
