Mission & Goals

Ledger is a leading blockchain security company headquartered in Paris. We develop hardware security devices and blockchain infrastructure solutions and applications for individuals and businesses in order to empower them to securely manage their digital assets. As the first and only digital asset wallet to receive a First Level Security Certification from the French Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI), we take pride in setting the global standard for blockchain and digital asset security. Ledger seeks to continue its open dialogue with political representatives to inform the drafting of legislation to support European innovation and competitiveness in the digital-asset space. For this purpose, Ledger wishes to provide practical insights from the industry and state-of-the-art technical expertise that might be helpful to legislators and regulators on opportunities and policies concerning digital-assets.

EU legislative proposals related to Innovation, Banking and Finance regulation, Economic Affairs, Digital Finance Package including but not limited to: - Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2023 on markets in crypto-assets ("MiCAR"), - Regulation (EU) 2023/1113 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2023 on information accompanying transfers of funds and certain crypto-assets ("TfR"), - Directive (EU) 2024/1640 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2024 on the mechanisms to be put in place by Member States for the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing ("AMLD6"), - Council Directive (EU) 2023/2226 of 17 October 2023 amending Directive 2011/16/EU on administrative cooperation in the field of taxation ("DAC8").
