Mission & Goals
The Forest and Wood Workers Trade Union of Latvia (LMNA) is an independent and voluntary association of individuals that expresses, represents and defends the labor, social, economic and professional rights and interests of its members in accordance with the Trade Union Law, other regulatory enactments in force in the Republic of Latvia, international legal norms and its own statutes. LMNA is an industry-level social partner that represents the interests of employees in the forest and other bioeconomy sectors in cooperation with state institutions, institutions, employers, employers' organizations and their associations. LMNA also represents the collective interests of employees at the European and international levels. As a social partner, LMNA advocates for quality employment, job security, equality and a fair transition to a green economy at all levels of government.
