Mission & Goals
LPA unites Latvian peat producers, entrepreneurs and natural persons, which have given significant investment for the industry development. The aim of the Association is to stimulate the development of Latvian peat producers’ industry, creation of workplaces and a rational, environment-friendly and sustainable use of peat resources, preservation of biodiversity and bog resources, as well as to represent and defend the interests of members.

Communication Activities
Work in "Growing media EUROPE", Posting information on the Association's website. Participation in discussions in the ministries responsible for the regulatory enactments of the sector (Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development etc., Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy and Climate). EU LIFE program project ‘"Sustainable and responsible management and re-use of degraded peatlands in Latvia’’ (LIFE REstore, LIFE14 CCM/LV/001103) (project over). Just Transition Territorial Plan for Latvia.
