Mission & Goals
LAB University of Applied Sciences is a higher education institution that specialises in innovation, business, and various industries.LAB operates in the Finnish cities of Lahti and Lappeenranta, and also on an online campus. It offers education in five fields: Business, Design and Fine Arts, Health Care and Social Services, Technology, and Tourism and Hospitality. We focus on supporting responsible, regenerative growth through intangible value creation, multipurpose materials, and human well-being. LAB provides education to 10,400 students and employs 600 teachers and RDI experts, which makes it the sixth largest university of applied sciences in Finland. LAB has an active approach where students and experts create growth in collaboration with business enterprises. Together with Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT it forms LUT Universities, an international and experimental educational community.
