Mission & Goals
KSE Institute is one of the leading Think Tanks in Ukraine . It specializes in analytics, consulting, and research, developing strategies and recommendations for supporting Ukraine's economy.Before the full-scale invasion, KSE Institute worked across 13 different domains of economics and policy, from macroeconomics and public finance to corporate governance, energy, agrifood and healthcare, serving both public and private sectors. Since February 2022, they have shifted focus to areas like sanctions, damage assessment, recovery, war economy, and food security to support Ukraine internationally.

Communication Activities
Events and Conferences: KSE organizes and participates in high-level policy discussions, workshops, and networking events that engage policymakers, experts, and stakeholders on topics such as EU-Ukraine trade, energy security, governance reforms, and economic integration. For example, KSE supports international cooperation programs and conferences that discuss the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and related reforms. Publications and Policy Notes: KSE regularly publishes research papers, policy briefs, and analytical reports addressing EU policies on energy sanctions, market liberalization, governance, and economic reforms. These publications are used to inform and influence policymakers and the public about EU-related legislative proposals and their implications for Ukraine. Communication Campaigns and Visibility Strategies: Within EU-funded projects like the “EU Integration Facility for Ukraine,” KSE is involved in designing and implementing communication strategies to raise awareness about Ukraine’s EU accession process and reforms. This includes managing outreach campaigns, media relations, press releases, and public information materials to promote the role and results of EU support programs. Capacity Building and Consultations: KSE provides professional development and consultation sessions for Ukrainian institutions and civil society actors to enhance their understanding of EU policies and funding opportunities, such as Erasmus+ programs and Horizon Europe research initiatives. These activities foster better cooperation and alignment with EU standards. Collaborations with Academia and Civil Society: KSE participates in academic and policy dialogues on public governance and EU integration, contributing to conferences and joint publications that discuss governance, democratic values, and EU policy implementation in Ukraine and neighboring countries. For instance, KSE experts participated in developing and preparing materials for the URC held in Lugano in 2022 (URC-2022), contributing research and policy analysis to support Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction agenda. For URC 2024, the Ukrainian government presented a comprehensive Reforms Matrix that was developed in collaboration with KSE, highlighting KSE’s direct involvement in shaping the reform priorities and policy framework showcased at the conference. The URC conferences aim to mobilize international support for Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, and modernization, with KSE contributing expertise in economic reforms, governance, and integration with EU policies, thus linking its policy work closely to EU legislative priorities such as energy security, governance reforms, and economic development In Brussels in April 2025 KSE Institute co-orginised a workshop on EU-Ukraine Business Summit 2025 to promote potential investment opportunities in Ukraine and discuss the Ukrainian Investment Framework opprtunities for financing.
