Mission & Goals
The Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED) is the first think tank established in post-war Kosovo. It was founded on 20 February 2002 as a special programme of the Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) and has operated as an independent organization since November 2003. KIPRED is dedicated to strengthening democratic governance, peace, human rights, the rights of non-majority communities, European integration, security sector accountability, and environmental sustainability in Kosovo and the wider Western Balkans. Since its establishment, KIPRED has played an important role in shaping public policy through evidence-based research, independent analysis, capacity building of political parties and governmental institutions, policy dialogue, and strategic advocacy. Its work is guided by impartiality, professionalism, and a commitment to advancing a democratic, inclusive, secure, and resilient society. KIPRED is a member of Global Democracy Coalition.
