The progress of European Union Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism ACT

Communication Activities

We, Korea Iron & Steel Association, regularly visits relevant institutions of EU(such as Directorate-General Taxation and Customs Union) to represent the Korean steel industry, express opinions regarding EU CBAM, and conduct meetings. Last year, we visited EU institution twice alongside the Korean industry representatives in April and December 2024. This year we have already visited EU Trade Directorate-General from 9th to 12th April. Unfortunately, we were unable to enter as our transparency number had expired. We are planning to conduct outreach to EU again this year.
