Mission & Goals
KAPSARC is an advisory think tank specializing in global energy economics and sustainability. As a non-profit and non-government Center, KAPSARC provides strategic insights and advisory services to key stakeholders and authorities across Saudi Arabia, while also supporting global policymakers in making informed, evidence-based decisions. By addressing complex energy challenges, KAPSARC contributes to shaping a more sustainable and resilient future for the world. KAPSARC fosters an inspiring and collaborative environment where experts come together to explore innovative ideas, drive groundbreaking discoveries, and influence the future of energy. The Center's commitment to excellence is reflected in pioneering research and a strong focus on professional development.
EU Legislative Interests
KAPSARC conducts research, holds workshops, and other activities related to EU initiatives and policies that encompass energy, energy economics and policy, energy union, energy security, climate and sustainability, and international relations as related to energy and sustainability. KAPSARC covers the EU's Climate and Energy Policy Framework as well as the European Green Deal. This includes Methane Regulation, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Hydrogen, Carbon Management, Industrial Decarbonization, Transport, Emissions Trading (EU ETS) and Carbon Markets, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), and the Decarbonized Gas and Hydrogen Package.
