Mission & Goals

Kempower designs and manufactures DC fast-charging solutions for electric vehicles, including passenger cars, buses, and heavy-duty trucks. The company’s goal is to accelerate sustainable transport by enabling the deployment of scalable, modular, and user-friendly EV charging infrastructure across Europe. Within this remit, Kempower engages with EU-level policy and regulatory developments related to electric mobility, energy systems, and clean transport. This includes contributing technical expertise to support the implementation of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR), promoting standards and funding frameworks for high-power and depot charging, encouraging interoperable payment solutions, and supporting modular charging concepts that enhance grid efficiency and facilitate the integration of renewable energy. Communication Activities

Kempower Oyj’s communication activities related to the EU policies listed above consist primarily of technical and informational outreach aimed at sharing industry expertise on electric vehicle charging infrastructure. These activities include responding to public consultations and roadmaps issued by the European Commission, providing written input and technical feedback on legislative and non-legislative initiatives, and participating in stakeholder workshops, conferences, and expert meetings organised or supported by EU institutions. Kempower also engages through industry associations, platforms, and standardisation bodies active at EU level, contributing to joint position papers and discussions on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure, high-power and depot charging, interoperability, and grid integration. Where appropriate, Kempower representatives may take part in meetings or briefings with representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, or other EU bodies to exchange information on policy implementation, market developments, and technical considerations related to electric mobility. All communication activities are conducted in a transparent manner and in line with applicable EU rules and ethical standards.
