Mission & Goals
Buildings account for 43% of France's annual energy consumption, making energy retrofitting essential to reduce this demand. However, at our current pace, it will take 35 years just to renovate the worst performing housings in France. In addition, 75% of renovations in France in 2021 did not generate a jump in energy efficiency. We must transform how energy retrofit plans are conceived. kelvin° is a French startup developing AI-powered tools to scale up energy renovation studies across Europe. Its mission is to scale energy renovation by tackling efficiency and relevancy concerns when designing retrofit plans. For construction and real estate professionals, our software generates energy efficiency studies, remotely estimates the energy performance of a home and offers costed and adapted energy retrofit recommendations.

kelvin is a startup created at the end of 2023 and has only recently hired its first Public Affairs intern - our activities are hence quite limited at this stage, and so are the annual costs related to them. The amount selected is an indicative estimate.
