Consultancy services in the sugar sector: Advice concerning markets, trade flows, prices, speciality products, EU and national regulations, ACP trade agreements, trade relations with the UK, WTO and other activities in the global sugar trade sector.
EU Legislative Interests
Interaction as the Executive Director of the ACP/LDC Sugar Industries Group (European Transparency Register Identification Number: 052002725608-03) with DG AGRI, DG TRADE and DG DEVCO in meetings of the Organisation of ACP States (OACPS) and EU institutions, especially concerning the implementation of the trade aspects of the Economic Partnership Agreements with ACP countries and the Everything But Arms initiative for LDC countries.
Communication Activities
= Sugar market transparency: the EC Sugar Markets Observatory. = Report on the effect of possible sugar market interventions under the CMO for Agricultural Markets. = Advice to ACP and LDC countries, notably concerning implementation of the EPAs and EBA initiative, environmental issues, plant protection products and food safety.
