Mission & Goals

The Jeremy Coller Foundation (JCF) is a strategic grant-making organisation, focused on two primary programme areas: creating sustainable food systems and improving venture and management education. A primary initiative of the JCF is the FAIRR Initiative, a global network of investors representing more than $71 trillion in AUM. The organisation helps investors to exercise their influence as responsible stewards of capital while safeguarding the long-term value of their investment portfolios. It facilitates collaborative engagements and produces cutting-edge research, which investors can then integrate into their active stewardship and decision-making processes.

EU Legislative Interests

The FAIRR Initiative is an investor network focused on ESG risks in the global food system. We will, therefore, target EU legislation related to the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and Farm to Fork Strategy, as well as other agricultural policies relating to antibiotic use and pandemic prevention.

Communication Activities

FAIRR’s policy workstream will engage with governments, regulators, industry bodies and investors to promote a greater understanding of the ESG risks surrounding intensive animal agriculture and build increased engagement around sustainable policies and business practices. Under this workstream, we will produce ad hoc briefing papers on policy topics that have relevance to FAIRR members, such as climate and biodiversity. For example, FAIRR recently launched a new policy white paper looking at the alignment of agricultural finance with the Paris Climate Agreement.
