Mission & Goals
ISK Biosciences Europe NV (IBE) is a subsidiary of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, TLD (ISK). ISK was founded in Japan (Osaka) in 1920 and has been in the chemical business for over 80 years and in the crop protection business since 1950. IBE commercial activities are focused on agrochemicals for European, Middle East and African markets. From a strategic point of view, ISK is mainly dedicated to research and development registration and positioning of new molecules. ISK has two research centres, the Central Research Institute in Kusatsu, Shiga, Japan, and the Concord Research Centre in Concord, Ohio, USA, resulting in the synthesis of thousands of new molecules every year. Looking into the future, ISK’s growth programme is based on extending the market for current products and the development of new molecules to provide farmers with sustainable solutions for crop protection.
EU Legislative Interests
IBE is interested actively in the policy areas related to sustainable agriculture and food production and consumption, health - especially crop protection related aspects, chemical policy and environmental protection (biodiversity, soil, water). IBE also follows developments in policies related to trade and innovation and research.
