Mission & Goals
As an independent, nonprofit, global association, ISACA engages in the development, adoption and use of globally accepted, industry-leading knowledge and practices for information systems. Previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, ISACA now goes by its acronym only, to reflect the broad range of IT governance professionals it serves.
EU Legislative Interests
Proposal for a Regulation establishing the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre and the Network of National Coordination Centres; Artificial Intelligence legislative framework (including the AI ethics guidelines, and policy recommendations); Cybersecurity Act (Regulation on ENISA, the "EU Cybersecurity Agency", and repealing Regulation (EU) 526/2013, and on Information and Communication Technology cybersecurity certification); General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) implementation; related data protection and privacy measures; digital trust; ethical AI; security and governance in AI and other technologies. Cyber Resilience Act, Cyber Solidarity Act.

Organisation Members
ISACA has served our professional community for more than 50 years. The association was incorporated as the EDP Auditors Association in 1969 by a small group of individuals who recognized a need for a centralized source of information and guidance in the new field of electronic data processing audit. Today, ISACA serves 150,000 professionals in 188 countries, who span several roles in assurance, governance, risk and information security.
