Mission & Goals

IONITY is installing the largest non-proprietary High-Power Charging Network covering 24 European countries (21 EU Member States) from Norway to Italy and Portugal to Estonia. Every location offers 6-24 charging points to always ensure availability for the EV driver. Each charging point provides up to 350 kW charging power, offering the fastest charging the individual EV is capable of. The network is powered by 100% green energy.

Legislation affecting charging infrastructure for electric mobility, including issues covered within the European Green Deal, Green Recovery (after COVID-19), Clean Industrial Deal, Action Plan on the future of the automotive sector, Transport and Energy regulation (e.g. Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation AFIR, Electricity Market Design) as well as the overarching topic of Digitalisation and Data collection and sharing (e.g. Intelligent Transport Systems Directive and AFIR). EU funding mechanisms (e.g. CEF, AFIF, H2020).
