Mission & Goals

Intrum is the industry-leading provider of Credit Management Services with a presence in 20 markets in Europe. By helping companies to get paid and support people in financial difficulties with their late payments to get out of debt, Intrum enables improved financial health and plays a critical role in the financial ecosystem and society at large. Intrum's goal is to engage with relevant stakeholders and policy makers within financial services, such as debt collection, late payments, non-performing loans, financial literacy, credit management and relevant financial regulations.

Communication Activities

Intrum provides insights to relevant units within the Commission from its annual pan-European surveys, published twice a year: The European Payment Report and The European Consumer Payment Report. The units that Intrum presents the results for are: DG Fisma, DG Grow, and the Commission's Late Payment Team. The purpose is to share data and insights on how late payments impact growth and development among European businesses, and how it impacts financial wellbeing among consumers. Intrum also shares position papers in relation to new or existing EU legislative proposals and policies. Intrum provides its expertise and know-how related to how EU policies may impact businesses, consumers and the credit management industry.
