Mission & Goals
Founded in 1965, IPMA is the world’s first non-profit, non-governmental project management organisation. Registered in Zurich and active in over 70 countries (with a strong presence in the EU), we promote a competence-based approach to leadership and project management, enabling professionals to deliver complex, sustainable, and innovative projects. Through globally recognised IPMA standards and publications in project management, certification, education, partnerships with academia and industry, expert-led webinars, and international events, IPMA bridges theory and practice and supports the development of future skills. We are also strongly committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and fostering sustainable outcomes through a human-centred project delivery model.
