Mission & Goals

IPCSA’s mission is to: “To act in the common interest of IPCSA members to influence public policy at the International level, in order to promote digital transformation and the electronic exchange of information to enable seamless, efficient and sustainable trade logistics processes. This will be achieved through lobbying, practical initiatives and projects as well as engagement with the global, regional and national logistics communities and relevant public bodies”.

EU Legislative Interests

Core Objectives of IPCSA In order to achieve its mission IPCSA has agreed the following objectives: I. To ensure that the importance of Port Community System Operators (PCSO), Single Window Operators (SWO) and Sea and Air Port Authorities are recognised Internationally relating to the electronic exchange of information and that the sector is consulted substantively on any measure likely to affect them; II. To promote the highest possible use of standards within PCSO, SWO and Seaport and Airport Authorities and the use of international standards; III. To encourage all IPCSA members to be proactive in PCS, SW and Seaport and Airport development specifically related to the electronic exchange of data; IV. To support and promote international, regional and national trade facilitation measures and integration of PCS, SW and Seaport and Airport Authorities into such measures as well as working towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals; V. To promote international collaboration for more effective cross-border and port to port exchange of data, processes and supply chain visibility; VI. To support and promote digital transformation and change management in Seaports and Airports to adapt to the requirements of their users. Policies and legislative proposals covering areas including Trade, Trade Facilitation, Single Window, Digital Exchange of information, Electronic exchange platforms in all modes including air, sea and land, Digital Transport Logistics Forum and other related topics including Customs

Communication Activities

IPCSA takes part in projects that it sees relavent to Port Community Systems and Trade Faciliation. We regualrly comment on EU policy particularly those related to the Exlectronic Exchange of Information within the maritime and the transport sector and also manage a LinkedIn page - IPCSA - for our social media activities. IPCSA have regular meetings and conferences
