Mission & Goals
IPPA is the International Pectin Producers Association. We represent the interests of our members and promote high standards within the pectin industry by: Co-ordinating dialogue with international bodies and national regulatory authorities Ensuring member companies are fully informed of changes in regulatory requirements as early as possible Sharing information on scientific and analytical techniques that could help member companies conform to high standards and meet regulatory requirements Encouraging scientific studies in areas of interest to the pectin industry and distributing the results of the latest research Promoting the use of pectin as a safe and effective ingredient in foods, beverages and other products
EU Legislative Interests
Regulation 1333/2008/EC on food additives and any amendments to the it in follow up to the re-evaluation of food additives as established by Regulation EU 257/2010/EU on the re-evaluation programme Regulation 1169/2011/EU on the provision of food information to consumers Any amendments to the Regulation 231/2012/EU on food additives specifications as a follow up to the abovementioned re-evaluation process Implementation of the Regulation 2018/848/EU on organic production and labelling of organic products
