Mission & Goals

The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, ILAB, is an international federation of 22 national antiquarian booksellers' associations with over 1600 individual affiliated businesses in 38 countries. It strives to uphold and improve professional standards in the trade, to promote honourable conduct in business, and to contribute in various ways to a broader appreciation of the history and art of the book.

EU Legislative Interests

Engage with members of the European Commission following our appointment as an expert for a working group on a dialogue with the art market, created as a sub-group to the European Commission expert group ‘Cultural Heritage Expert Group’.

Communication Activities

ILAB regularly informs its members and stakeholders on developments relating to the European Union and national legislation.
