Mission & Goals
Independent Film Festival of Athens (aka KINO Athens) focuses on unusual films which challenge their viewers. We believe in the power of films to inspire change within our society. KINO Athens believes that independent filmmaking is vital to galvanize communal discourse and is committed to curating equitable and inclusive programs for all. Via screenings, Q&As, talks, exhibitions, KINO Athens intents to enhance dialogue, promote learning and create a community based on cinema. Also we work on eliminating prejudice and promoting the benefits of diversity in our society are among the key objectives of KINO Athens. KINO Athens strives to offer equal opportunities and access to all candidates regardless of their race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a minority, birth, disability, age, sexual identity or any other characteristic.

International Independent Film Festival of Athens through its visionary programming intents to enhance independent filmmaking with all year round activities. KINO Athens Film Society will establish a weekly gathering in Athens for film lovers who seek to be challenged by cinema. We also enhance film education.
