Mission & Goals
In 1949, members of the fur trade formed the International Fur Federation (IFTF), which brings together natinal associations from all parts of the world. With 48 member organisationsin 39 countries, IFTF includes practically every important fur producing and consuming country. It draws together and represents people from across the full spectrum of the trade: farmers, trappers, auction houses, merchants, brokers, dressers and dyers, manufacturers, wholesalers, marketing organisations and retailers.

Areas of interest: farming, hunting, trapping, environmental policy, trade policy, circular economy, prodcut labelling, traceability, certification, animal welfare and health. Policy and legislative initiatives of interest: Farm to Fork Strategy, Animal Welfare legislation, Biodiversity Strategy, Invasive Alien Species, Circular Economy Action Plan, Strategy for Sustainable Textiles, Ecodesign legislation, Product Environmental Footprint, Trade Agreements, Green Claims, Due Diligence
