Development of effective civil protection arrangements and associated research into safety and security together with employment and health issues related to firefighters and overall protection of the public.

Communication Activities

Participation in Horizon 2020 and relevant DG ECHO programmes and initiatives. Liaison and participation in policy and development of matters impacting on public safety from fire and crisis and the employment, protection and safety of firefighters and associated service workers.

Organisation Members

National associations are represented by up to 3 delegates at an annual meeting that determines constitutional matters and approves actions with daily management conducted by an elected Executive of 10 persons. In Europe around 1.3 million firefighters are engaged.
