Mission & Goals
IFM-SEI is a global educational working to empower children and young people to take an active role in society and stand up for their rights. We are an umbrella organisation for child and youth-led movements all over the world, educating on the basis of our core values of equality, democracy, peace, solidarity, co-operation, anti-capitalism and friendship. Through our member organisations and our international activities, we aim to ensure that children and young people are well informed about their rights and are empowered to ensure they are respected. We educate children and young people to be critical thinkers and active decision-makers in their lives. To reach this goal, we organise a variety of activities using non-formal education, participatory and inclusive methodologies including seminars, training courses, international camps and conferences.
EU Legislative Interests
At the moment, we are liaising with the Children's Rights Action Group (CRAG) in order to reestablish the Intergroup on Children's Rights within the Parliament. We're active members of the European Youth Forum. We're also targeting the Pact on Migration and Asylum, with a particular focus on its implications on children and young people.
Communication Activities
We took part in the recent roundtable "Ensuring a child rights compliant Implementation of the Pact on migration and asylum", organized by Save the Children and hosted in the European Parliament by MEP Cecilia Strada.
