Mission & Goals

The International Culture Foundation – ETS is a non-profit participatory foundation based in Italy and active in the Euro-Mediterranean area. Our mission is to foster the internationalization of higher education and promote intercultural cooperation through arts, science, and creativity as engines for sustainable development, inclusion, and civic engagement. The Foundation acts as a strategic platform to build bridges between cultural and scientific institutions, higher education providers, and civil society, promoting inclusive actions in areas marked by social fragility. At the core of our vision is the CultureMedHub: an international hub of excellence located in Lamezia Terme that serves as a laboratory for cooperation and innovation. It integrates advanced training, social research, and international mobility between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East to build a shared Mediterranean identity rooted in knowledge and mutual respect.

Communication Activities

CultureMedHub International Events: Hosting international seminars, artistic residencies, and scientific workshops at Palazzo Blasco (Lamezia Terme) to foster Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and knowledge exchange. Capacity Building Campaigns: Coordination of initiatives aimed at empowering new generations and enhancing local assets through participatory governance models in line with EU sustainable development goals. Dissemination of Research: Publication and dissemination of social research findings and results from community-based cultural projects to academic and institutional partners across Europe and the MENA region. Strategic Networking: Management of a platform designed to connect higher education providers, cultural institutions, and civil society actors to promote social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.

Member of the Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) National Network (Italy): Active participation in the Euro-Mediterranean network for intercultural dialogue, contributing to civil society engagement and cross-border synergies. Euro-Mediterranean Academic and Cultural Networks: Involved in strategic partnerships with universities and cultural institutions focused on the internationalization of higher education and social inclusion.

Strategic Partners: Collaborations with higher education providers, artistic institutions, and local authorities across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. CultureMedHub Ecosystem: A conceptual and physical platform (Palazzo Blasco) connecting a transdisciplinary community of researchers, artists, and educators.

Additional Information

The financial data refer to the Foundation's 2024 financial year (January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024), formally approved by the Board of Directors on April 30, 2025. During this period, donations from founding members to the Foundation were used primarily for basic equipment. Estimated costs for activities covered by the register remain between €10,000 and €24,999, as the Foundation focused on institutional development and the design of the CultureMedHub strategy. No EU funding or intermediaries were used during the reporting period.
