Mission & Goals

ICMCI, the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to: 1. Enhance the exchange of information among national certifying and registration bodies to strengthen understanding, cooperation, and the quality of certification. 2. Elevate global standards of management consulting and promote its recognition as a respected profession. 3. Promote cross-border networking, fostering information sharing and international cooperation. 4. Encourage reciprocity among institutes upholding recognized standards and the International Code of Professional Conduct. 5. ICMCI members are national Institutes or Associations of Management Consulting, representing the profession in 50 countries worldwide. They are all not-for-profit organizations that certify or register management consultants to agreed standards of education, experience, competence, and ethics.

EU Legislative Interests

ICMCI targets selected EU priorities under the 2024-2029 “Competitiveness” agenda, including: - Union of Skills – development and recognition of professional competences (EQF alignment), micro-credentials, and transnational mobility. - Make business easier & faster – SME support for simplification, reduced administrative burden, and improved competitiveness. - Digital productivity and AI – guidance in AI adoption, digital transformation, and governance. - Research & Innovation – promotion of innovation management competences and faster market uptake of research outcomes. - Sustainable Development policies – advisory for the green transition, ESG, circular business models, and resilience. - Access to finance – preparing SMEs and professionals for investment readiness and EU funding. Regarding these priorities, ICMCI can: 1) respond to EU consultation requests; 2) organise meetings with EU officials; 3) targeted workshops and events; 4) disseminate relevant EU policy updates to its members and stakeholders.
