Mission & Goals

The ICCE is a not-for-profit, global organization with the mission of leading and developing sport coaching globally. ICCE members seek to enhance the quality of coaching at every level of sport. The ICCE believes that international collaboration and exchange can accelerate positive change in the realm of coaching development and help these coaches give athletes around the world a chance to pursue excellence. The target audiences for the ICCE are National Representative Bodies responsible for coach development; International Federations; institutions that deliver coach education or represent coaches; individuals who design and deliver coach education; coaches; and the international sport community at large.

EU Legislative Interests

International Council for Coaching Excellence actively cooperates with Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) and its Sport Unit in the area of sport coaching. Main points of discussions will be related to the European Union Work Plan for Sport and the role of sport coaching and sport coaches within this framework.

Communication Activities

International Council for Coaching Excellence has been invited to the structured dialogue in sport, participated in a number of European Sport Fora and Presidency conferences; and it has been invited to the Expert groups in good governance and education in sport. SCE also regularly participates in the social dialogue in the sports sector at EU level. ICCE is an active supporter of the European Week of Sport and a signatory of HealthyLifestyle4All initiative. ICCE provided numerous speakers and experts invited by The Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) Sport Unit.

The International Council for Coaching Excellence facilitates cooperation among its members, coordinates projects and initiates meetings, events and workshops. ICCE cooperates with international sport federations, higher education institutions, coaching organisations and coaches' associations.
